Botswana & Zambia 11 days

Day 1      Arrive in Botswana  (long haul flight – guests’ own arrangement)

Arrive at Johannesburg  and connect  to Maun Suggested flight BP 216  JNBMUB  1300 1500  Transfer by light aircraft from Maun airport to Kwara Camp, Okavango delta (Or similar). Flying time approx 30 minutes.

Kwara camp is located on the northern edge of the Okavango Delta; renowned for being one the only settings offering an all year delta experience, with activities including Game drives, off road and at night, as well as Mokoro trails, motorboats and fishing. Enjoy 2 nights at Kwara Camp in twin luxury elevated en-suite tents with unique inside/outside bathrooms. on a full board basis including local brand drinks, daily game viewing activities and laundry. At Kwara guests enjoy a diverse wildlife experience all year-round, but the focus is definitely on the water. Whether gliding through crystal clear waters in a mokoro or visiting the famous Godikwe lagoon, where you can stand on a boat literally eye to eye with thousands of herons, storks and other nesting birds - Kwara is the nearest camp to this famous spectacle. Spinner fishing, walking with a guide on one of the many palm-fringed islands and spectacular night drives in addition to morning and afternoon drives in the company of a guide and tracker.

Day 2      Kwara Camp Okavango delta

Day 3      
Xakanaxa Camp, Moremi Game Reserve

After breakfast transfer by boat from Kwara to Xakanaxa Camp (Or similar), Moremi Game Reserve a journey of about 1h30 minutes through the intricate channels of the Okavango Delta. Nestling on the banks of the Khwai River  and in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve, Xakanaxa Camp is rated as being one of the finest game viewing areas in Africa.  It has one of the best locations in Botswana and is one of the few lodges that offers a true year round land and water experience. Overlooking the Xakanaxa Lagoon, this Camp offers Luxury en-suite furnished safari tents set on elevated platforms, a plunge pool with sala, sundeck and an elevated wood & thatched dining room. You will track great herds on extensive safaris by open Land Rover, by powerboat or serene dugout canoe in the company of professional licensed rangers. Birding is quite spectacular, especially during spring and summer when the migrants breed. Huge numbers of breeding storks and herons are attracted to the world-famous heronries which lie to the north of the lodge.

Day 4     Xakanaxa Camp, Moremi Game Reserve

Day 5      Lebala Camp, Linyanti, Chobe
Transfer by light aircraft from Xakanaxa Camp to Lebala Camp (Or similar), Linyanti Chobe. Flying time approx 35 minutes. One of the finest tented camps, Lebala is set amongst the seasonal floodplains of the linyanti marshes. With Accommodation in luxurious tents with great views and private decks, the camp offers a plunge pool, lounge and bar for one’s leisure use. Lebala offers some of the best game viewing opportunities in Botswana due to both the large concentration of game and the open floodplains. The wetlands and wide open flood plains around Lebala are home to a variety of wildlife providing excellent sightings of elephant, hippo, lechwe, zebra, giraffe, tsessebe, roan, sable, buffalo and the very present predators; wild dog, lion, cheetah and hyena.  Morning, afternoon and night game drives with guide and tracker are by open safari vehicle that seat a maximum of six guests. 

Day 6  Lebala Camp, Linyanti, Chobe

Day 7   Savuti Under Canvas
Inter camp flight from Lebala Camp  to Savuti Under Canvas. Offering the same style accommodation as Chobe under canvas, Savute under canvas, offers luxury safari tents with separate w.c and alfresco bucket showers.  Accommodating only 12 guests at one time, this camp is located in the famed dry Savute region of the Chobe national Park, offering large herds of zebra during the wet season and also known for the large concentration of predators.

Day 8    Savuti Under Canvas

Day 9     Sindabezi Island, Livingstone
Inter camp flight mid morning from Savuti to Kasane then Drive from Kasane  to Livingstone and Sindabezi Island.

Approximately 1.5 hrs drive from Kasane, . Immigration and customs must be cleared at both the Botswana and Zambian border posts.  Sindabezi Island is unique. An idyllic, exclusive camp on a very own private isle on the Zambezi River it is the only luxury bush camp in the Victoria Falls region and in 2008 was selected by The Sunday Times in London as one of the best remote places to stay in the world. Sindabezi has only five open-sided thatched cottages, allowing guests to soak up the sights and sounds of the African bush in the perfect, pristine setting. Views across the flood plains of the Zambezi and into the nearby National Park complete the experience. A Selection of activities are included in your stay at Sindabezi such as a tour of the falls and curio market, island lunch, sunrise and sunset boat trips on the Zambezi, fishing etc. Sindabezi is a truly exclusive and romantic destination in which to experience the magnificent Victoria falls.   Activities include: Tour of the falls, sunset cruise, sunrise boat cruise, guided canoe trips, fishing, game drive to Mosi Oa tunya park (fees excluded), Walk in the gorge below the falls, Cultural Village visit.

Day 10    Sindabezi Island, Livingstone

Day 11    Departure
Transfer by road to Livingstone International Airport, for flight to Johannesburg and onward departure flight (Guests’ own arrangement)
